Why is the government increasing the fares on public buses and the MRT system once again???
I'll tell you why.
You see, everytime the relevant transport authority proposes to implement a hike on the fare, they KNOW people are BOUND to make noise.
They KNOW we're GOING to complain. But they also KNOW that we CAN'T do SHIT about it.
So to them, they KNOW they can get away with doing WHATEVER they want to do.
Sure, you draw a little flak, you get blasted a little bit for creating an inconvenience. But what is that when you KNOW you CAN GET AWAY WITH IT?
It's so screwed up. Really..internet regulation or not, I am going ahead to say my peace. Honestly, NOBODY gives a shit about stupid threats that are just utterly ABSURD.
Back to my point, this is basically WHY they are able to get away with it. It's so stupid that it's tremendously retarded.
The authority hikes the fair-> They know people will protest-> But do they give a shit? No. ->They take the noise for a while because they know, eventually, being a completely COMPLIANT nation, we'll shut up-> They then go ahead and raise the fares for the simple reason of JACKING up their revenue to build MORE stupid useless structures before labelling them as 'Tourist Attractions' when other industries are clearly under-funded-> The reason as to why no one dares to openly stand up and make noise? Because the gahment will find out who you are, kick you up the bloody behind, and land your bloody ass in jail for 'speaking bad' about it.
How will they find out? I don't know leh..maybe through internet regulation or something liddat. Hor Mr. Lee?
