If there was one thing I would really like to point out, it would be how Singaporeans tend to pick on few locals raised with foreign accents. Not that I have anything against these guys who speak the way they do, but calling them 'kentang' and saying it's a put off isn't really nice to say.

HOWEVER, I'm all right with the accent even if it's fake, if it's done EXCEPTIONALLY well. Because then, being the sucker that I am, I'd fall for it hook, line and sinker without any qualms or bones to pick. The moral of the story is, if you're gonna put on an accent or a 'SLANG', as un-educated Singaporeans like to call it, it better be a darn good one.
Preferably Genuine.

Watching 'Eye for a Guy' is a classic case in my opinion. There's a guy called Jeff-
Obviously Local, Obviously Fake.
You can tell his accent is pretty much incomplete with gaps and inconsistencies here and there. Well, I think he probably doesn't realise he's giving me a good laugh though.

Speaking to my brother a couple of nights ago, I cracked a stupid joke with him..

me: "Hey Ray, do you know who sang 'Who let the Dogs Out?' "
bro: "Yah.."
me: "Who?"
bro: "The Baha Men."
me: "Do you know who sang, 'Who let the Jokes Out?' "
bro: "Huh? Who?"
me: "The HAHA Men. "
bro: "ADOOOOO!" *smacks head*
