That, however, is the least of my worries...for now.
An hour ago, my mom comes up to me and tells me she's going on a holiday to Jolly Old Long-Live-The-Queen England after months and months of serving time as a homemaker. I have no qualms telling her to enjoy myself, but let's take a quick look at the list of chores now bestowed upon me shall we?
Before we do that, let's bear in mind that the time of July MIGHT be when I have JUST commenced term break. Hip-hip-hooray and shrink my balls really..
- I have to get up at 5.30am in the morning and make sure my brother gets up for school and takes the bus(praying that he gets there on time).
- I have to make sure he is HYGIENICALLY up to standards and presentable. ie. The absence of body odour and neatly groomed hair.
- In the process that my brother ensures this happens, I have to prepare his breakfast.
- Once he's prepped and off to prison..sorry, I meant school, I'd most probably plonk myself back to bed and sleep till 8 where I'd prepare myself for training in the morning.
Assuming that he stays CLEAN and out of trouble, I'd have finished the first training session of the day and I'd return home to rest.Hopefully I would be spared of the additional task of getting his lunch. I'm pretty much sure he'd be cool enough to get his own grub though.
Come 5pm, it's time to get ready again for training session number two and number one for my brother. Here's the tricky part, I've gotta make sure he has his stuff packed and that he's got everything set for training.
Once training is over, it's time to fetch some dinner before we head home. Back to the chores! Once again, hip-hip-hooray and bust them this time.
- I gotta take ALL our bloody stinking laundry (it's at this point I thank God for every second my mom's around) and put them for an overnight soak to flush out most of the odour.
- Once done, I gotta take the remaining clothes which do not make a skunk look like Chanel no. 5 and put them in the washing machine where it's an hour and a halfs wait for me.
- Once the laundry's done, it would be right about 11.45pm before I start to hang out the laundry.
- Before that, I'd have to fold the clothes that are left hanging out, in preparation for ironing.
- Once all the f8cking above is done, it's time to get my BROTHER'S school uniform ready; with badge, tie, etc
- Once that's complete, it's time to make sure his bag's checked to ensure his books are even there before I head to bed, die and by God's mighty power, risen again 5 hours later.
All this happens for the entire week again and again and again. Now did I forget to mention my mom's going away to England for a MONTH? Hmmmm, I must have forgotten to so, "Gee, thanks Mom!"
