So after ACJC idol, the gang, charlotte and I had a nice time (or maybe not) attempting to get down to Holland Village for a much need dinner. I was pretty surprised Donna had called off her feeding plans when just a while ago she said she was hungry. Now that just didn't sound right..knowing Donna, her appetite's even more fearsome than mine.

Anyway, taking a cab from ACJC to Holland V.? I would've been happy taking a bus down. I mean, it's only a bit of walking. And walking never killed anyone; otherwise everyone would've been dead by now. Along came a 7-seater maxi cab and hurrah! We're on our way for dinner. Thank goodness I didn't order katong laksa. If there's anything wrong with eating, it's eating oily noodles on an empty stomach. Not good for the digestive process. In addition, not exactly very wise to do so before going on a drinking spree.

But I was lucky I had my nice fill of food even though it wasn't all that much. People, just remember that noodles are not the best thing to eat on an empty stomach because they're known as fast-burning carbs which means that they dont create that feeling of intestinal comfort as long as more concentrated carbs (like big potatoes) do as they get used up faster.

So off it was to Wala wala with my bébé Charlotte where the queue was just.......well, let's not go there shall we. The whole thing that got me worried was that my young and way underaged lady was getting moody and irritable. But I wasn't worrying all that much because she's always like that anyway. Right? lol..
But she calmed down soon..let's just keep it at that. ;)

So...349082r09329278t983 drinks later, I got high. Well, in actual fact, had I drank that much, my liver would firstly fail. I'd collapse soon before being carried away in an emergency stretcher and then I'd die at hospital.
I had a pint of Hoegaarden beer which was pretty tasty after eating, 3 cocktails, a glass of pretty inexpensive red wine (calling it cheap wouldn't be nice) and a glass of J.D's topped with coke. I'd definitely agree that the moment of the night was getting to share the strawberry daiquiri which tasted very similar to the strawberry sorbet I've been making. Strawberry Daiquiri means very tasty, and very refreshing.

Soon enough, I got high. I got in the mood to get my bum moving and Ms. Wong pulls me back into my seat for fear that I'd collapse in a drunken stupor and embarrass myself. But I swear, I was on the verge of going deaf sitting right underneath the speaker. Moral of the story? Get Charlotte to pick another corner the next time I go back.

Getting drunk is like getting re-aqquainted with an old friend you never, ever wanted to meet again. It's like when you see someone you don't like but smile and say hi anyway while you're going "Shit." inside. Walking straight was the other issue. Sure enough, Charlotte thought it was funny to see me do a very good impersonation of an intoxicated penguin. So after all that drinking, it was time to go home because my bébé got tired and it was pretty late then.

Even at 12.48pm on a Saturday right now, I'm still feeling the effects of last night..my body's not moving right. And I gonna regret not being able to train today. Oh well...since it's Sunday tomorrow, I guess there's still one more night for the Borderline Alcoholic to make one last adventure!

Now, where's that Donna!?
