Well..Let's check out the various lessons or things I have observed over the past day or two.
Firstly, if you're gonna learn to drive, never try fucking around with your sister's sports car. ESPECIALLY if you're gonna stall it 9 times in 15mins. I told simone and jinghui.."I felt as retarded as Mike Tyson punching with his legs"
Secondly, pray you have a patient sibling by your side before you get your balls ripped out.
Well, a few random thoughts on my part...Coffee Bean vs. Starbucks. Think about it. Better flavours vs. Better coffee. In case you didn't notice, the latter company was the early pioneer of the coffeehouse and barista business. Focusing on delivering quality ground arabica beans and making it into a bitter drink meant to drive busy executives on the go into a caffeinated high.
Coffee Bean on the other hand, realises that not everyone has a taste for pure and quality coffee and thus creates a menu which delivers higher variety in terms of food and beverages. The result? Chocolate/ vanilla/ caramel infused coffees with a lower caffeine content and berry+cream flavoured teas catering to not-so hardcore, die hard coffee junkies.
Better flavours vs. Better coffee? I'd pick starbucks..would you?
Next up..society. Here we go again.. Well, in case you didn't realise as well, we are headed into another paradigm shift where society, lifestyle and the generation is changing. Radically? I'd say we're not that close yet but on the way there. How much are we changing right now? Well, here are a couple of examples.
1) Tech toys, or modern technology as we call it, is springing up just about EVERYWHERE. Ask around who doesn't have a digital camera in hand and you'll rarely find a person without it. It seems like gone are the days where film is still prevalent. Heck, even the PDA I possess, possesses a camera. 1.2 megapixels to boot.
No phoneline? No worries..wireless networs are EVERYWHERE. And the result? More people rushing to get themselves convenienced with such potential future normalities. It's quite frightening to see the rate at which people are equipping themselves. If you asked me, I'd say it just can't possibly get any more advanced any faster than this.
2) Why is it that just about EVERYONE'S into the clubbing scene? Clubs (not pubs) are springing up EVERYWHERE now. Sure, they play good music and entertain people. People get drunk from drinking, they get it on on the dancefloor, guys start making out with girls and soon sleeze spreads EVERYWHERE. Is this going to be the future of the human race? Scary to think if this actually IS going to be it isn't it. Of course, I'd probably be drawing flak from advocates of the nightlife from different places. Anyone who reads this entry is bound to find controversy in it.
Well, it's not like I don't have a nightlife of my own..I am a very regular visitor of pubs myself. And the lowdown is, I don't like what I'm seeing in clubs. It's tasteless. I honestly don't find such a thing fun. If you ask me (again) you might be kings of the dancefloor..who cares? I'm a religious person and I'd like to see if going to the club every week can save your sorry asses from judgement.
Once again, I'd like to ask..if everyone's making the club scene and ingrained culture at this rate, what would happen to dating? What would happen if all the hot babes decided to go clubbing and dashing young men like me remained single with no one to look for? I think I'm just being retarded for a moment. On the other hand, I just don't like clubbing. If you think paying someone to get you drunk is fun, then I'd gladly hand over my title of being fucking retarded to you..
Next up...It just hit me that I hardly see females who play the bass guitar. Nothing wrong with that. I'm a drummer myself but I always hear about girls who complain that they can't play the drums because of coordination problems. Then, they say they wanna play the guitar..then they wanna sing. Well, why not give the bass guitar a try? As I said, I hardly hear or see girls playing the bass. And I honestly think it WOULD be kinda cool. Especially if they can play it well. Trust me...when girls learn how to play an instrument (apart from the fucking classical piano, violin or 12 stupid instruments), it REALLY looks good.
So my hidden message for the day is..pick up an instrument, make it the bass.
