Ahhhhhhhh...it's been such a roller coaster of a day! I call it a bitch. What do YOU call it? hahahaha. Anyway, I was an hour late for school thanks to SBS! Thanks SBS for your SPECTACULAR BUS SERVICES! A bus that's twenty minutes late, two trains that come after 12mins of waiting, what else could go wrong??
That aside,I'd like to turn to the issue of that 'C' word..orh-horrr, Sherwin say bad worddd. NO LAH you moron! CHINESE! What's the big deal about chinese you ask? Well, in case some of you havn't already heaaarrrd, MOE's (no,it's not some guy called Moe) Considering using Chinese as a medium of instruction in schools. Now wait a minute...aren't we already caught in a dilemma here? If you ask me,what makes you think using Chinese to teach already anti-chinese children will make things better? What's worse, some students in secondary school ALONE already can't speak English itself properly..what makes you think using Chinese would do any good? I say let's just stick to Chinese as being a second language. Create some reforms to make the system less stressful and yea, everything will be pretty much better!
However, what I'm pretty interested in, is that..the MOE also considered using Chinese as a medium for non-examinable subjects such as PE. I think it would be prrreeeeetty amusing if you ask me. Now, coming from ACS where boys like me are FAMOUS for our command of Chinese, it would be really interesting wouldn't it? Think about it, it would be funny to see your PE teacher shouting, "Shut up and run your 2.4" in Chinese wouldn't it??
