All right..out of all the days in the week, I guess my faves have to be the S-days. The only time I ever get to spend time with my friends and family come once a week on Saturday and Sundays respectively and they also happen to be the days where I can sleep without having to wake up early.
Saturday was great..To eat, sleep and stone is my idea of a perfect day out. The hidden context behind that of course is that to have a nice dinner at my favourite arab cafe and to rest while smoking that good ol' shisha pipe..Ahhhhhhh..nothing feels better than to totally let go of all your woes and worries and to be able to focus on the day ahead. But that was Saturday.
All right! Now, on to Sunday. Of course, as the name implies, this day is one filled with alot of sunlight and sunshine. People go to church, families brunch out at funky places and I...go to training. But it's not really that bad. Sunday's actually my favourite day for my training simply because I get to wake up at 10am. Anyhoo..guess what guys! I learned Tagalog on the bus today while listening to two Filipina maids chattering on the bus. Let me re-enact their spritely conversation.
Maid 1: "Bwak bwak jakoo kinmara boo bwak bwak!"
Maid 2: "Hahahahaha!"
I was pretty amazed at myself..loosely translated, this basically meant,
Maid 1: Sista Maria I think the boy in front thinks we're clucking like chickens!"
Maid 2: Hahahahaha!
Ironically, I actually think these people have funky cultures and backgrounds. But honestly, to sit in the bus for 45 mins listening to animated chickens converse was a pretty amusing experience.
Did I mention to anyone that I wanna be multi-lingual? I'm gonna take Thai, German, Polish, Russian and Indonesian! So...Zdravuite everyone! That means 'Greetings' in russian...so now, farewell you bong bongs!
